Benefits of VDA 6.4:

The VDA QMC defined quality standards for the German automotive industry and published them in the VDA 6.X volumes. Those documents provide the automotive industry, its suppliers and other attached services, a consistent and measurable scoring process for their quality systems.

VDA Volume 6 Part 4 addresses the manufacturing of single parts or tools, e.g. companies which produce tooling machines, facilities, test equipment, etc.. Targeting high-level quality is as important in those areas as inside the automotive companies. Especially important is that management takes on the responsibility to implement such quality awareness in all divisions and manufacturing work areas.
